California Coastline

Almost everyone admits that driving on the twisting, narrow two-lane California Highway 1 is a challenge. However, the pine-flanked, sea-sculpted and vista-dotted coastal scenic drive is a top-notched, sometime fatal attraction few would regret spending vacation time on. Summer is the best season of a year to hit the road. On the way you might surf in San Luis Obispo, camp in Big Sur, hug sea lions in San Simeon, admire gorgeous sunset nearly anywhere and pay a tribute to the magnificent Hearst Castle. Golden Gate Bridge, Stinson Beach, Point Rayes, Redwood National Park are just other famous landmarks you will definitely not afford to miss. Listen to the wave pounding rocks is the best music. Oh, almost forgot, indulging in any of the sunny beaches is always a free stop-by.
