Boreal near Lake Tahoe is not a great ski resort. It has only limit trails and lifts are aged. The only lodging nearby is always full and outdated. However, people still go there include myself. Here are why.
1. Right off I-80 and on a good day, it takes only 3 hours to get there by car from San Francisco Bay Area.
2. Open late to 9:00 pm. Not many resorts in Lake Tahoe area have that schedule
3. Very reasonable price, only $42/day for adult from 9am-9pm
4. Foods are not bad at all and prices are very reasonable.
5. Friendly trails for beginners and kids.
6. Adquet trails for experienced skiers.
